Every user gets a link
Within five minutes of someone signing up, they have their own 8-character code and a short URL to share. Nobody filled in a form. Nobody pressed a button. It costs you 50 cents and it’s theirs for good.
Clicks get counted, not people
A friend opens the link. We write one row in the click log and they’re on your site before they notice the hop. The visitor gets an anonymous id — no name, no email — and the referral code never appears in the URL they land on.
Credit lands on the right person
When a visitor becomes a customer, we look up their first click and credit whoever sent them. First click wins. If nobody sent them, we say so, explicitly — every signup gets an answer.

Under the hood
No magic, just plumbing that runs on time. Here’s what actually happens behind that one click.
- Minting
- Every 5 minutes we ask the platform which users still need a link, generate an 8-character lowercase code for each, and register the URL back. Each mint lands in our own ledger, and a daily reconciliation job checks that ledger against the platform’s records. If they ever disagree, we get an email about it before you do.
- Redirects
- A shared link hits
/r/<code>. We write one click row with an anonymous visitor id and send a 302. The destination URL carries the visitor id, never the code. - Attribution
- One lookup per signup: the visitor’s first click. Matched or not, we post the answer back, so no conversion is ever left hanging in a retry queue.
- What we don’t do
- Fraud checks, self-referral rules, and reward payouts stay with the platform. On purpose. A links service that also moves money is a links service you can’t audit.
